You will be aware that Ofsted periodically inspects schools and we have been notified that we are due for an inspection on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th October 2014. We believe this is an excellent opportunity to showcase the many excellent aspects of life at Chandag Infant School and to create a very positive impression for the inspection team. We are all very proud of our school and our children and we hope that the inspectors will be equally pleased.
At Chandag Infant School we provide a safe, secure, enabling environment where children can be equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to develop a love of learning in order to achieve their full potential.
We recognise that we are preparing our children for the next stage in their learning whatever their starting point, and wish to ensure that children have the levels of literacy, and numeracy to equip them with the skills to continue their learning journey and achieve economic and personal fulfilment.
We aim to develop confident learners, who take ownership of their learning, have high expectations of themselves and are proud of their achievements. We wish every child to enjoy their learning experiences.
We believe that the learning within our curriculum should be purposeful, challenging, inspirational, fun and look to our immediate environment and the wider world for learning experiences in order to prepare children for the 21st century.
Chandag Infant School is a place where we wish individuals to demonstrate respect for others, where differences are celebrated, and our school is valued by the whole school community.
Through positive attitudes and partnerships with those organisations and individuals we work with we endeavour to care for and develop the whole child, meeting their needs to support learning and development.
We believe that good teamwork and positive partnerships with individual children, the whole class, our colleagues, governors, parents and the wider community will lead to effective teaching, high standards and successful learning.
